Rose of Tralee, Elysha Brennan, visited Coláiste na hInse on Thursday, November 26th. The Rose spoke to students of her experience as a Rose, travelling around the country and the world in her new role. As a medicine student, Miss Brennan reflected on her experiences in India recently, and the lessons she has drawn from her travels. Miss Brennan also spoke of being diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma as a Leaving Certificate student at the age of 19, and how she has recovered from this harrowing time to the unexpected thrill of being crowned the Rose of Tralee this year. An Príomhoide, Inion McCarrick, commended Miss Brennan on her remarkable resilience and paid tribute to our local Rose as "a bright, shining example" for all dáltaí to learn from.
