The Coláiste has a proud tradition in debating – competing in all competitions from the regional (Gr8 Debate), the national (Matheson Junior Debating National Mace and All Ireland Schools’ Competition) and even to the international (International Competition for Young Debaters and International Public Policy Forum). Despite our young history The Coláiste has had great success, winning the Junior Debating Competition (the largest competition of its kind in Europe) on four occasions, having two national finalists in 2013 at junior level and an All-Ireland Runner Up at senior level.
The Debating Society’s Auditor for 2014-2015 is Oisin Moloney and they meet every Tuesday lunchtime in B29. All years are welcome!
